Annual Student Juried Exhibition

A few years back, the tradition began of the Annual Student Juried Exhibition.  The exhibition is traditionally held each Spring, allowing for two semesters of art students to submit five pieces each for a chosen juror to hand-pick each piece of artwork that will make it into the exhibition.

The juror also decides the "Best in Show" and their own personal "Juror's Choice."  On the night of the reception, the public is also encouraged to vote for their favorite artwork.  This allows for the artwork with the most votes to win.  Brasher created this tradition for students to gain experience submitting to art exhibitions and entering juried competitions.  The exhibitions also allow for cash prizes for selected students and a way for families and artists to see the visual arts are viable.  The Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition continues every year due to the treasured support of the Dean of Arts & Sciences and ANC administration.
