Dr. Gianluca Strazzullo | Director of Choral Activity
Italian pianist and conductor, Gianluca Strazzullo, is establishing himself as one of today's most promising young artists. After graduating from the Naples Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Massimo Bertucci, he completed the Master of Music Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at Arkansas State University in 2008, studying with Lauren Shack Clark, and the Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance, with a minor in conducting under the guidance of Dr. Victor Santiago Asuncion and Maestro Pu-Qi Jiang at the University of Memphis. Numerous concerts include solo and chamber works in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and North America. Dr. Strazzullo has won numerous piano competitions in both his native country and the United States, such as first prize in the Delta Symphony Concerto Competition, Music Teachers National Association Competition, The University of Memphis Concerto Competition, Vincenzo Mennella Piano Competition, and Giovan Battista Pergolesi International Piano Competition. Amongst many arrangements, Strazzullo has served as faculty at Arkansas State University an Arkansas Northeastern College. He was appointed to the position of Director of Choral Activity at Arkansas Northeastern College, in Blytheville, Arkansas, in August of 2017. |
