The division of Occupational Programs offers five certificate programs in Automotive Service Technology; Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration; Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology; Early Childhood Development and Welding.  Each certificate provides education for entry-level employment as well as skill development through hands-on training.  The certificates can be obtained in less than one year with the exception of the automotive program, which requires four semesters.

 

The Occupational division also includes allied health certificate programs in Dental Assisting Technology, Paramedic and Practical Nursing.  These programs are designed to prepare the student for advanced-level certification exams and can be completed in less than one year with the exception of the paramedic program, which requires four semesters.

 

Job-training programs offered under the Occupational division include Commercial Truck Driving, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Nursing Assistant (CNA).  Students successfully completing these programs may be eligible for certification in their respective fields.
