Why a Career in Office Technology?

 

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, Administrative Professionals (support and management) held about 3.9 million jobs, ranking among the largest occupations in the United States economy.  Millions more work in businesses all over the world.

 

What is Office Technology?

 

IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) reports that the administrative professional's job today requires skills in management functions and technology, including:

  • Project Management

  • Integrated computer software applications

  • Organization and scheduling

  • Internet, Intranet communications and research

  • Document preparation, storage, and retrieval, with emphasis on electronic record keeping

  • Customer service and public relations

ANC's Office Technology Program

 

ANC's Office Technology program is designed to give the student training in the latest office equipment and procedures for this electronic age.  To supplement the regular program of study, special features emphasize word processing, information processing and/or the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge in the office management and information technology fields.  Internships are also available in order to enhance the learning experience.

The Office Technology faculty offer specialized training to give you the skills to succeed.  ANC is home to the latest technology combined with personal instruction.  We pride ourselves in offering a student-to-faculty ration that enables students to have their individual needs met.

 

The Office Technology faculty work with private industry, state, local and federal governments to ensure that courses being offered will meet your needs and are in collaboration with current employment trends.  Our goal is to have you succeed!
